When it was time to test our latest hand-held laser bar-code scanner that we designed at Honeywell, we upped the ante (quite a bit, actually). So confident was the team on the robustness of the design that we decided to launch the scanner across the parking lot- first on gravel and then on hard concrete. On a bright Friday afternoon, a few of us adventurous engineers decided to have some fun and crash test the product that we had been working on for months.
We did very well (I must say...) and the scanner crushed our own expectations and continued to scan most times after we retrieved it....phew!! PROUD!!
Everything was great that day until we pushed the limit and decided to make it memorable.
A million pieces in all directions - We were running for cover!!
Keeping it super robust was not really the intention throughout the design but being aggressive was and we did that in STYLE.. watch our marketing video.
