SMALL steps, BIG moves

At times its one of those obvious things that we think we knew forever, and yet its one of the most common things we get wrong. We see it at home, at work, in business, politics, science, technology, sports and everything else.

Then why is it that almost everybody has at some point in their lives rushed for results. Is it our instincts for instant gratification? Uncontrolled gush of adrenaline? Our will to be a superhero? Is it the mantra "Ship it"?

When you are little they tell you stories of the "Hare and the Tortoise", when you hit school they tell you what Neil Armstrong told the world "Small Step for Mankind, Giant Leap for Mankind" and when you start your career they tell you things like "Kaizen and Six Sigma" but the underlying message is the same.

Set small targets with an eye on bigger goals. Things that are the meant to last need to be thought-out, planned, executed and persisted with tenacity over time - like they say, BUILT TO LAST!

I guess that certain things are best served many times because statistically(as they say in the world of economics) it can be said with a 90% confidence that the probability that you will forget is high!
